KATHMANDU, June 13: The price of gold in the domestic market has witnessed a significant increase of Rs 4,200 per tola compared to Thursday, driven by a continued rise in the international market. Silver prices have also edged up by Rs 15 per tola.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association (FENEGOSIDA), fine gold is now trading at Rs 197,100 per tola in the domestic market, while silver is priced at Rs 2,165 per tola.
On Tuesday, the gold rate stood at Rs 190,000 per tola, marking a sharp climb over the past few days. Silver was also trading at Rs 2,150 per tola earlier in the week.
In the international market, gold is being traded at around USD 3,427 per ounce, according to global media reports.
