Parliamentary probe committee on cooling-off period holds first meeting

KATHMANDU, July 8: The parliamentary special committee formed to study and investigate the controversial “cooling-off period” held its first meeting on Tuesday.

The committee includes two members each from the Nepali Congress and CPN-UML, and one member each from the CPN (Maoist Centre), Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), and Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP).


It comprises Jeewan Pariyar and Sushila Thing from Nepali Congress; Narayan Acharya and Ishwari Gharti from CPN-UML; Madhav Sapkota from CPN (Maoist Centre); Ganesh Parajuli from Rastriya Swatantra Party; and Roshan Karki from Rastriya Prajatantra Party.
