PM Oli stuck in Surkhet due to bad weather

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, who arrived in Surkhet to inaugurate a newly built Bailey bridge at Chuwakhola in Humla under the Karnali Corridor project, has been forced to halt his journey due to adverse weather conditions.

SURKHET, July 6: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, who arrived in Surkhet to inaugurate a newly built Bailey bridge at Chuwakhola in Humla under the Karnali Corridor project, has been forced to halt his journey due to adverse weather conditions.


The PM, accompanied by Physical Infrastructure Minister Devendra Dahal, Defence Minister Manbir Rai, and former minister and UML Deputy General Secretary Pradeep Gyawali, landed in Surkhet at 10:30 AM but could not proceed further as poor weather conditions in Kalikot grounded helicopter flights. The team is currently stationed at the Nepal Army's Northwestern Division Headquarters.
