Stating that the provision to grant citizenship through the mother's name has been ensured, Khatiwada expressed the view that those who do not love their mother or country cannot truly love anyone, and therefore, no one should object to granting citizenship through the mother’s name.

He also mentioned that the report on the Civil Service Bill has already been submitted to the HoR on behalf of the committee and, although not included in today’s agenda, he is confident it will be passed soon.

In the meeting, Speaker Devraj Ghimire read out letters received from the Office of the President and the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers.

While reading out the letter, Speaker Ghimire stated that Agriculture Minister for Agriculture and Livestock Development, Ramnath Adhikar has traveled to Thailand to attend a food security-related program. In his absence, the responsibility of the ministry has been assigned to Minister of Health and Population Pradip Paudel, as informed through the Chief Secretary.
