KATHMANDU, June 22: Chief Spokesperson of the CPN (Maoist Centre), Hitraj Pandey, has demanded the immediate formation of an investigation committee regarding the visit visa issue.
During the discussion on the Appropriation Bill in the House of Representatives on Sunday, Pandey urged the government to implement the two-point agreement reached with the Maoist party, stating that the visit visa issue is a national problem.

He also appealed not to delay the formation of the investigation committee, recalling the Home Minister’s commitment from the rostrum to establish the committee within a month. Pandey expressed that despite the two-point agreement on the visit visa issue, the problem remains unresolved.
Earlier, continuous disruptions in the parliament due to the visit visa issue led to a two-point agreement between the ruling party and the Maoists. Following the agreement, the Maoists halted their protests; however, the Rastriya Swatantra Party (Raswapa) and Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) have continued to demand the formation of the investigation committee and have maintained protests in the parliament.
