KATHMANDU, June 20: The monsoon season has enveloped the entire country from today.
According to a special weather bulletin issued by the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DHM), this expansion comes 23 days after the monsoon first entered Nepal.
Monsoon normally active

This year, the monsoon entered from the eastern part of the country on May 29 and initially covered most parts of Koshi Province. By June 12, it had expanded to parts of Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, as well as the eastern region of Lumbini Province.
Meteorologist Pratima Manandhar stated that with the monsoon reaching Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim provinces today, the system is now active throughout the country.
“Currently, monsoonal winds are affecting some parts of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, along with the eastern region of Lumbini Province,” she said, “Additionally, western and local winds are partially influencing the western regions, and a low-pressure area near West Bengal, India, is also having a partial impact.”
